Reasons for car headlights not working: 1. Short circuit in the power line before the light switch, filament burnout, or fuse blown; 2. Poor contact or closure of the bimetallic strip in the light switch, or damage to the light switch, where one position of the light switch is properly connected, but some light line contacts are disconnected due to the bimetallic strip. Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting should first determine the diagnostic scope, then probe according to the sequence of the lighting system circuit to identify any open or short circuits at a specific location. Car headlights, also known as car front lights or car LED daytime running lights, serve as the eyes of the car. They not only relate to the external image of the car owner but are also closely linked to safe driving at night or under adverse weather conditions. With the increasing number of vehicles on the road, when encountering some reckless drivers, it is advisable to use headlights and horns reasonably to send appropriate warning signals.
Last time my headlights suddenly went out, it was really scary! I immediately checked the fuse box, found the fuse for the headlights, and sure enough, it was burnt black. I temporarily used the cigarette lighter fuse to drive to the repair shop. If the bulb flashes once and then goes out right after turning it on, it’s probably due to a loose connection or grounding issue somewhere in the wiring. I recommend keeping a couple of commonly used fuses in the car for emergencies. Also, if your headlights keep burning out, don’t ignore it—it could be due to the alternator producing too high a voltage. My neighbor once fried his car’s computer because of this. Driving at night with broken lights is too dangerous; never drive in the dark. If you have no other choice, at least turn on the fog lights as a temporary solution.
