What are the reasons for abnormal noise in the Emgrand GL engine?

The reasons for abnormal noise in the Emgrand GL engine are as follows: Engine mount rubber aging or loosening: The engine mount rubber refers to the rubber blocks between the engine and the vehicle frame. Their function is to reduce vibration and provide cushioning during engine operation, as well as to secure the engine in place. Once these mount rubbers age or become loose, the engine may shake, resulting in abnormal noise. Engine misfire noise: Engine misfire mainly refers to one or more cylinders not functioning properly, typically characterized by intermittent exhaust gas flow and severe shaking of the exhaust pipe. Timing gear noise: After prolonged use, along with improper gear clearance adjustment or hardened timing belts, gears may experience excessive wear. In severe cases, gear teeth may wear down, causing loose meshing between gears, which produces noise during machine operation.
I got nervous immediately when I noticed abnormal noises from the engine while driving. For a car like the Emgrand GL, such noises could come from a loose or aging belt, producing a squeaky sound; or the engine might be low on oil, as insufficient oil pressure can cause louder friction between parts. Sometimes, it's due to worn valves or bearings, resulting in ticking or creaking noises; other times, it could be spark plug issues or an intake manifold leak. I think if the noise only occurs during cold starts, it might be because the oil hasn't warmed up yet; but if it persists, it's best to check immediately. Last time I encountered this, I first checked if the oil level was too low or if the belt had cracks. When the noise continued, I went to the 4S shop. The professional technician quickly pinpointed the issue using a diagnostic tool—it was just a belt replacement, and the problem was solved. Don't delay with such issues; minor problems can turn into major repairs.
