Annual inspection procedures: Check whether the engine, chassis, body, and auxiliary equipment are clean, complete, and functional; whether the paint surface is uniform and aesthetically pleasing; whether major assemblies have been replaced and match the initial inspection records; verify if the vehicle's braking performance, steering control, lighting, exhaust, and other safety features comply with the "Technical Conditions for Safe Operation of Motor Vehicles" requirements. Inspect whether the vehicle has undergone modifications, alterations, or transformations; whether the driving license, license plate, and vehicle registration records match the actual condition of the vehicle and if any changes have been made; verify if approval and modification procedures have been completed. Check whether the license plate, driving license, and enlarged license plate markings on the vehicle are damaged, altered, or illegible, and if replacement is necessary. For large vehicles, verify if the unit name or the name of the street, township, or village where the vehicle is registered, along with the maximum seating capacity in the driver's cabin, is printed in Chinese imitation Song font on both sides of the door as required. For trucks, check if the rear tailgate (including trailer rear tailgate) displays the license plate number enlarged 2-3 times as required; for individually or jointly owned vehicles, verify if the word "Individual" is printed on both sides of the door. The text must be clear, and no unit codes or other patterns are allowed (special circumstances require approval from the vehicle management office). Precautions for annual inspection: Vehicles that pass the periodic inspection will have stamps affixed to both the driving license and the "Motor Vehicle Periodic Inspection Form." Vehicles that fail the periodic inspection must be repaired within the specified time. If they remain unqualified after the deadline, the vehicle management authority has the right to confiscate the license plate and driving license of the unqualified vehicle, prohibiting it from driving on the road or being transferred. Vehicles that cannot participate in the periodic inspection due to special reasons must apply for an extension from the vehicle management authority in advance. Vehicles stationed outside their registered location may entrust the local vehicle management authority to conduct the inspection on their behalf, with the results notified to the original vehicle management authority. Vehicles that fail to participate in the periodic inspection without valid reasons are not allowed to drive on the road.
