Violating no-parking signs or markings results in a 3-point deduction. According to Traffic Law Violation 1039: Motor vehicles parked or temporarily stopped in violation of regulations, with the driver absent or refusing to leave immediately when present, obstructing other vehicles or pedestrians, will incur fines but no point deduction. Doors cannot be opened or passengers boarded before the vehicle is fully stopped, and door operation must not obstruct traffic; 5.
