Penalties for driving with an expired driver's license: Driving a motor vehicle during the expired period is prohibited and may be treated as driving without a license. If the driver's license has been expired for less than one year, the driver can renew it at any time. However, if caught driving, a fine of 200 yuan will be imposed. If the driver's license has been expired for more than one year without renewal, the traffic management department will cancel it according to the law. For licenses expired for less than three years, the driver must retake and pass the subject one exam to restore driving privileges. Driving during this period may result in a fine ranging from 200 to 2,000 yuan. If the driver's license has been expired for more than three years, it will be permanently canceled. To drive again, the individual must retake the driver's license exam. Otherwise, driving will be considered as driving without a license, punishable by a fine of 2,000 yuan and up to 15 days of administrative detention. Renewal period: Motor vehicle drivers should apply for renewal at the vehicle management office of the driver's license issuing authority within 90 days before the expiration date. The "Motor Vehicle Driver's License Application Form" must be completed during the application.

Once I was so busy with work that I forgot to renew my driver's license. When I drove to work, I got stopped by traffic police and was fined 2,000 yuan, had 12 points deducted, and received a warning. This is quite common, as many people neglect to renew their licenses on time due to work commitments. Driving with an expired license is considered unlicensed driving, which carries significant legal risks. The fine can range from 200 to 2,000 yuan, depending on the region, and may even result in 15 days of detention. Worse still, if an accident occurs, the insurance company might refuse to cover the damages, leaving you to bear all the costs. Since then, I've made it a habit to check my license's expiration date every three months and set reminders on my phone calendar. The renewal process is simple—just bring your ID, photos, and a medical check-up to the vehicle management office. Never wait until after it expires to renew, as it can lead to unnecessary trouble.

What are the causes of brake noise at low speeds?

Causes of brake noise at low speeds: 1. Running-in of a new car, where the brake pads' running-in is an important part. Usually, after driving a few hundred kilometers, the brakes will feel more comfortable; 2. Brake noise may occur after the car has driven through water, mainly due to wear caused by the lack of lubrication from driving through puddles on rainy days, or possibly due to rust from water exposure; 3. Very fine sand particles may get between the pads and discs while driving, sometimes causing noise due to friction. In most cases, this does not require repair; 4. Excessive wear of the brake discs or brake drums, which may become too thin and cause noise; 5. Missing or damaged fixing screws of the brake discs can also cause brake noise; 6. Malfunction of the brake system, which requires inspection and repair.

How to Test Engine Oil Pressure?

Testing engine oil pressure can be done using a dedicated oil pressure gauge or a regular oil pressure gauge (with a range of around 1MPa) equipped with corresponding high-pressure hoses and adapters. The detailed method is as follows: 1. Disconnect the wiring harness plug of the oil pressure sensor and remove the oil pressure sensor; 2. Screw the hose adapter of the oil pressure gauge into the threaded hole where the oil pressure sensor was installed and tighten the adapter; 3. Place the oil pressure gauge in a location where it will not come into contact with rotating engine parts or high-temperature components; 4. After starting the engine, check for oil leaks at the oil pressure gauge adapter. If there is a leak, turn off the engine and retighten the adapter; 5. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature, then check the oil pressure gauge readings at both idle and a minimum of 2000rpm, comparing them with the standard pressure values.
