According to the latest national standards, small and micro non-operating passenger vehicles, large non-operating sedans, and wheeled special machinery vehicles have no service life restrictions. The relevant details are as follows: 1. Private cars have no service life limit, but the maximum mileage is set at 600,000 kilometers, meaning they will be guided to scrap after reaching this mileage. 2. Relevant laws and regulations: Article 5 of the "Mandatory Scrapping Standards for Motor Vehicles" stipulates the service life for various types of motor vehicles as follows: small and micro non-operating passenger vehicles, large non-operating sedans, and wheeled special machinery vehicles have no service life restrictions. 3. The service life of a motor vehicle starts from the date of registration. However, if a vehicle has not been registered within 2 years from the date of manufacture, the service life will be calculated from the manufacturing date. 4. The state guides the scrapping of motor vehicles that reach a certain mileage. Owners of vehicles that reach the following mileages can sell them to scrap vehicle recycling and dismantling enterprises, which will handle the registration, dismantling, and destruction according to regulations, and submit the scrapped vehicle registration certificate, license plate, and driving license to the traffic management department of the public security authority for cancellation. 5. Small and micro non-operating passenger vehicles and large non-operating sedans are guided to scrap after 600,000 kilometers, medium non-operating passenger vehicles after 500,000 kilometers, and large non-operating passenger vehicles after 600,000 kilometers.
