New motor vehicle annual inspection time regulations: 1. Small and micro non-operational passenger vehicles must be inspected once every 2 years within 6 years; vehicles over 6 years old must be inspected once annually; vehicles over 15 years old must be inspected twice annually. 2. Operational passenger vehicles must be inspected once annually within 5 years; vehicles over 5 years old must be inspected once every 6 months. 3. Trucks and large/medium non-operational passenger vehicles must be inspected once annually within 10 years; vehicles over 10 years old must be inspected once every 6 months. 4. Motorcycles must be inspected once every 2 years within 4 years; vehicles over 4 years old must be inspected once annually. 5. The motor vehicle annual inspection time is determined by the new vehicle registration date. For example, if the initial registration date on the vehicle license is June 2007, then the annual inspection time is every June. According to Article 40 of the newly revised "Motor Vehicle Registration Regulations", vehicle owners can apply for inspection certification at the local vehicle management office up to three months before the expiration of the current inspection period. This means vehicles due for June inspections can undergo testing during April, May or June.
