What are the methods for judging shock absorber failure?

"There are three main methods for judging shock absorber failure: 1. Hydraulic oil leakage from the upper part of the piston rod: Leakage can occur at the oil seal area, sealing area, welded joints, or other parts of the oil reservoir. Normally, the exterior of a shock absorber should be dry and clean. If hydraulic oil leaks from the upper part of the piston rod, it indicates the shock absorber is damaged; 2. Abnormal noises from the wheels on rough roads: When driving over uneven roads or speed bumps, if the wheels make abnormal noises, it suggests the shock absorbers on the wheels are damaged; 3. Significant body roll or even skidding during turns: If the vehicle exhibits noticeably increased body roll during turns, or even skids, it is mainly due to insufficient damping force from the shock absorbers, which fail to effectively control spring compression."
