The provincial capital Hefei uses Wan A, Wan B is assigned to Wuhu, Bengbu uses Wan C, and Huainan is Wan D. Ma'anshan gets Wan E, Huaibei uses Wan F, while Tongling is Wan G. Wan H belongs to Anqing, Huangshan uses Wan J, and Fuyang uses Wan K. Suzhou is Wan L, Chuzhou uses Wan M, and Lu'an is Wan N. Xuancheng gets Wan P, Chizhou uses Wan R, and Bozhou, being a newly established prefecture-level city, uses Wan S. A quick reminder here - Bozhou's Wan S plate is most easily mistaken, as some people might misread it as Wan B (Wuhu's plate). Also, the vehicle management office skipped letters I and O when assigning letters because they can be easily confused with numbers.
