What are the gear positions of the xrv?

xrv has different gear positions depending on the model. Below is an introduction to the gear positions and driving precautions: Introduction to xrv gear positions: Manual transmission gear positions include 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, 5th gear, and R gear; continuously variable transmission gear positions include L gear, D gear, N gear, P gear, and S gear. Driving precautions: Never shift into N gear while driving to coast, as the automatic transmission requires lubrication. When the gear is placed in N while driving, the oil pump cannot supply oil normally for lubrication, which will cause the internal components of the transmission to overheat and result in complete damage. Additionally, coasting in neutral at high speeds is very dangerous. The vehicle can only be started in P or N gear, and the gear lever must be shifted out of P gear while pressing the brake. Never shift into P gear while driving an automatic transmission vehicle. When changing the direction of travel, always ensure the vehicle is completely stopped before switching between D gear and R gear.
The gear settings of the XR-V are quite practical, and after driving it, I found it very easy to get used to. Automatic transmission models usually have P (Park) for parking and turning off the engine; R (Reverse) is for backing up; N (Neutral) is useful when waiting at traffic lights or for short stops; D (Drive) is the most commonly used gear for normal driving. The CVT transmission is smooth without any jerking, and my daily commute in D mode also results in low fuel consumption. It also has an S (Sport) mode option, where pressing the accelerator harder provides faster and more exhilarating acceleration, especially when overtaking on the highway. Gear shifting is done via a rotary knob on the center console, which is very convenient and makes it hard for beginners to make mistakes. Remember to engage the handbrake after parking on a steep slope with P to prevent rolling—safety first.
