Fuel additives have the functions of removing carbon deposits, reducing fuel consumption, and restoring engine power. Fuel additive is a type of automotive chemical and a common name for the third generation of gasoline detergents. It can quickly restore the engine's working condition, compensate for certain deficiencies in gasoline properties, and endow gasoline with some new excellent characteristics, such as improving atomization, reducing wear, protecting the engine, and lowering emissions. Since direct injection systems spray gasoline directly into the combustion chamber, only PEA (polyether amine) can adapt to this high-temperature and high-pressure environment without producing deposits. Traditional fuel additives mainly consist of PIBA (polyisobutylene amine), which can effectively remove carbon deposits in multi-point fuel injection vehicles. However, in the high-temperature and high-pressure environment (combustion chamber) of direct injection vehicles, it has poor volatility and quickly forms deposits. Therefore, adding traditional fuel additives to direct injection vehicles not only fails to clean combustion chamber carbon deposits but also severely increases carbon deposit accumulation.
