What Are the Functions of Antifreeze?

The functions of antifreeze are: 1. Anti-corrosion function. Some radiators experience cracked welds and leaks when using antifreeze due to severe corrosion caused by the antifreeze on the solder. High-quality antifreeze, compared to water, provides better protection for the radiator and extends the engine's service life; 2. Anti-scaling function. High-quality antifreeze is made with distilled water and contains anti-scaling additives, so it does not produce any scale; 3. High boiling point function. High-quality antifreeze should have an excellent ability to prevent the radiator from boiling over, which requires it to have a high boiling point. Currently, the boiling point of antifreeze is generally above 105 degrees Celsius. If high-quality antifreeze is used, boiling over will not occur.
