What Are the Functions of a Torque Sensor?

Here are the functions and basic introduction of a torque sensor: 1. Functions of a torque sensor: (1) Measure the torque transmitted between the steering wheel and the output shaft of the steering gear. (2) Convert the torque value into a voltage signal and send it to the ECU. 2. Basic introduction of a torque sensor: A torque sensor, also known as a torque transducer, moment sensor, torsion sensor, or torque meter, is divided into dynamic and static types. The torque sensor is an important electronic control component in an electric power steering system. Its principle is equivalent to a potentiometer, with two input terminals connected to the VCC and GND ports of the electronic control unit via circuits, applying 5V and 0V respectively. The two output terminals of the torque sensor, namely the main torque IN+ and the auxiliary torque IN-, are connected to the ECU via circuits.
