I'm currently driving the BYD Qin Plus-DMI, which has four driving modes that I'm quite familiar with. The first is the pure electric mode, which runs solely on the battery—quiet and fuel-efficient, perfect for short urban commutes. I use this mode all the time in the city, getting about 80 kilometers on a single charge. The second is the hybrid mode, where the engine and electric motor work together, starting with electric power and engaging the engine during high-speed driving or acceleration, balancing fuel efficiency and flexibility. I often use this mode for weekend highway trips. The third is the economy mode, which limits power output and acceleration, offering a smoother drive and extended range. It's quite comfortable in traffic jams. The fourth is the sport mode, with quick throttle response and aggressive acceleration—great for a thrilling drive. I occasionally switch to this mode for overtaking, and it's exhilarating. I think these modes make the car smarter, automatically adjusting to road conditions, which also benefits battery longevity. By switching modes appropriately, driving becomes hassle-free and cost-effective, making it friendly for beginners too.
