Direct failure criteria for Subject 3: Not using seat belts as required; covering or turning off in-vehicle audio/video monitoring devices; not following the examiner's driving instructions; vehicle rolling backward more than 30cm during start; prolonged mismatch between gear and speed causing excessively high or low engine RPM; failing to engage gear twice consecutively while driving; coasting in neutral gear while moving; not following traffic lights, signs, or road markings; not driving at specified speeds; driving with wheels straddling solid center lines or lane edge lines; prolonged straddling of lane dividers (over 15 seconds); changing two or more lanes consecutively; parking in prohibited areas like crosswalks or grid zones; candidate failing to attend the exam at scheduled time. 10-point deductions apply for: Vehicle rolling backward less than 30cm during start; incorrect gear selection during start or driving; not using or incorrectly using turn signals before starting, turning, changing lanes, overtaking, or parking; initiating maneuvers less than 3 seconds after activating turn signals; stalling the engine once due to improper operation.
