What are the effects of too much or too little motorcycle engine oil on the engine?

Motorcycle engine oil has the following effects when it is too much or too little: Too little oil: Initially, it usually affects the overall lubrication effect of the engine, especially for many components that rely on crankshaft splash lubrication, which may lack lubrication, leading to increased wear or even damage. Severe lack of oil will affect all lubricated components inside the engine, causing issues such as cylinder scoring, piston seizure, and engine overheating, which may even lead to engine burnout and scrapping. Too much oil: Excessive oil level in the crankcase can increase engine load and reduce power, which can be judged by the engine sound. It also increases internal pressure in the engine, leading to damage to engine seals, including front and rear crankshaft oil seals, oil pan gaskets, cover gaskets, and camshaft oil seals. Over time, the engine's exhaust ventilation system may also be damaged, carbon buildup may increase, and excessive oil may create the illusion of oil burning. When the oil level exceeds the upper limit on the dipstick, it should be promptly drained to the normal level.
