What are the effects of a leaking valve cover gasket?

The effects of a leaking valve cover gasket: 1. After the valve cover gasket leaks, oil will flow down along the cylinder head. Since the engine temperature is high during operation, the oil adhering to the engine surface will slowly evaporate, producing pungent smoke; 2. It affects the engine's air tightness. The leaking area will also release the engine's working air pressure. The engine has an exhaust gas recirculation valve connected to the throttle. Air leakage will affect the stability of the engine's operation. The valve chamber, also commonly known as the camshaft chamber or the oil cavity of the cylinder head, has a camshaft cover on top, forming an approximately sealed cavity together with the cylinder head. Causes of a leaking valve cover gasket: 1. Aging of the valve cover gasket, resulting in poor sealing; 2. Clogging of the crankcase forced ventilation valve, causing an increase in crankcase pressure, leading to pressure release from the valve cover gasket or other weak points.
