In this case, even when the exhaust pressure is insufficient, a portion of the exhaust gases will directly enter the exhaust pipe without passing through the turbocharger, leading to severe turbo lag and significantly impacting the engine's power output. The primary function of the supercharger bypass valve is to automatically open during high-speed and high-load conditions, allowing some exhaust gases to bypass the turbocharger and enter the exhaust pipe directly. This reduces the exhaust gas pressure and subsequently lowers the turbocharger's rotational speed. In other words, the main role of the supercharger bypass valve is to regulate exhaust gas pressure.
