The dimensions of the BAIC Senova X35 are: length 4300 mm, width 1815 mm, height 1640 mm, with a wheelbase of 2570 mm. As a compact SUV positioned between the X25 and X55, this car performs quite well in terms of space. As a small car, the BAIC Senova X35 features a full-bodied side profile design that is very simple and elegant. The car adopts a floating roof design, which to some extent enhances its sporty character, making it look very stylish. In terms of power, the new model is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, which delivers a maximum power of 116 horsepower and a maximum torque of 148 Nm.

Last year I drove the Senova X35, a compact SUV with standard dimensions. It's 4300 mm in length, 1815 mm in width, and 1640 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2570 mm. The most practical feature is its ground clearance - 200 mm when unloaded, which basically prevents scraping the undercarriage on rough roads. The space is sufficient for daily commutes or short road trips. While fitting three adults in the back seat isn't particularly spacious, it's acceptable. The trunk easily accommodates several suitcases plus miscellaneous items, making it a practical and flexible model.

When accompanying a friend to pick up their Senova X35, I measured its dimensions, which are above average for its class. Specific data: The overall length is 4.3 meters, the width is just over 1.8 meters (1815mm), and the height is around 1.64 meters. Notably, the dimensions change under load—the ground clearance drops to about 160mm when fully loaded. With the front seats adjusted to a comfortable position, rear passengers have more than a fist's worth of knee room from the front seats. It can accommodate three people side by side, though there's a slight hump in the middle floor. The trunk offers a standard capacity of 398 liters, which can expand to nearly 1300 liters with the rear seats folded down.

I remember once going camping in the X35, and its size design was quite ingenious. With a length of 4300mm, parking in standard spots was a breeze, and the 1815mm width with foldable mirrors made passing through narrow roads stress-free. The highlight was the trunk—starting at 398 liters with ample depth, and when the rear seats were folded down, the floor was almost completely flat. After loading a full set of camping gear, there was still room for two crates of bottled water. The 200mm ground clearance was better than most sedans, but for muddy roads, installing an underbody guard is recommended. The steering wheel's turning diameter of 10.2 meters meant it could handle sharp 90-degree turns in residential areas with ease.
