Prado VX and TX differences are as follows: 1. Different suspension types: TX has double-wishbone independent suspension (with stabilizer bar), VX has double-wishbone independent suspension (with KDSS + stabilizer bar). 2. Different rain-sensing wipers: TX has no rain-sensing wipers, VX has rain-sensing wipers. 3. Different headlight types: TX headlights are halogen, VX has LED headlights. 4. Different steering wheel surface materials: TX seats are upgraded to leather, VX has real wood. Additional information: Prado TX means it is the basic version, TXL is the standard version, VX is the high-end version, VXL is the top version.
I've driven the Prado TX and VX many times, mainly for taking kids to school in the city and weekend trips. The TX is the base model, affordable and gets the job done; the seats are cloth, spacious but my back gets a bit sore on long drives. The navigation system isn't standard, so I usually use my phone instead. The VX is the upgraded version, costing tens of thousands more, but the leather seats are much softer, and it comes with built-in navigation and automatic air conditioning, making it more comfortable when the kids are sleeping. Safety-wise, it adds side airbags and a stability control system, handling bumpy roads more steadily. Fuel consumption is similar for both, around 12L in the city and dropping to 10L on the highway. In my opinion, if you often take your family out, the VX's extra features are worth the price—paying for peace of mind and comfort. But if it's just for daily commuting, the TX is enough, saving money for other things.
