Hongqi H9 and H9+ differences are as follows: From the appearance: The difference between the H9+ and the Hongqi H9 is not very significant. It still adopts the vertical waterfall-style chrome-plated grille, which is not only a major symbol of Hongqi but also gives it supreme recognition. The light clusters on both sides remain very unique, and since the built-in light source is LED, it provides ultra-high visual effects when lit. Additionally, the Hongqi H9+ is the first to feature a red-and-white two-tone body, a color scheme that is indeed difficult to handle for ordinary models but fits perfectly on the Hongqi H9+. From the body size perspective: Compared to the Hongqi H9, the Hongqi H9+ has been extended by 22cm, which is mainly reflected in its B-pillar. Besides the extension, its B-pillar is also decorated with chrome trim and features a luxurious emblem exclusive to it. At the same time, it is the first to use 20-inch tires, with gold and silver dual-tone splicing inside the wheel hubs.

That day I went to the Hongqi showroom to compare the H9 and H9+, and the main difference I noticed was the huge gap in rear seat space. The H9+ has a wheelbase extended by nearly 200mm, allowing me to stretch my legs fully when sitting inside, unlike the slightly cramped H9. During a test drive with my family of four, three adults could sit comfortably in the back of the H9+ without feeling squeezed, especially with significantly more headroom. On long trips, the kids could move around freely without bumping into things. Additionally, the H9+ comes standard with adjustable seats that can recline flat for resting, while the H9 only offers manual adjustment for regular seating. There are also more thoughtful storage compartments in the H9+, like built-in USB ports in the center armrest, enhancing practicality. As a dad who frequently chauffeurs family members, the extra space is worth every penny—the H9 suffices for city commutes, but the H9+ suits my needs better for road trips. Price-wise, the H9+ costs over 100,000 yuan more, but if comfort is a priority, investing in the extra space is definitely not a regret.

As a salesperson who has been driving for business for many years, after trying both the H9 and H9+, what amazed me the most were the upgraded configurations of the H9+. For example, the in-car air conditioning system: the H9+ comes with an intelligent temperature control feature that includes filtration, automatically adjusting the independent rear zone, cooling quickly and quietly, while the H9 only has a basic manual version. The seat materials also differ—the H9+ features full genuine leather with heating and massage functions, perfect for relieving fatigue during lunch breaks, whereas the H9 uses ordinary synthetic leather without massage. In terms of the audio system, the H9+ is equipped with a Bose premium surround sound system, delivering an impressive experience for music or meetings, while the H9 only has a standard stereo with average sound quality. Technological details like the HUD (Head-Up Display) are another highlight—the H9+ projects navigation information clearly, eliminating the need to look down at the screen. In summary, the H9 is a practical entry-level car, while the H9+ turns daily commutes into a pleasure, especially for those spending extra hours on the road—these luxury additions significantly enhance quality of life. If the budget allows, the H9+ is undoubtedly the best choice.

When I just graduated and was considering buying a car, I also struggled between the Hongqi H9 and H9+. The price and positioning are the main differences. The standard H9 starts at over 300,000 yuan, which is more affordable and suitable for beginners or those on a budget. The H9+, on the other hand, starts at 500,000 yuan, targeting business professionals or those pursuing luxury. In terms of features, the H9+ comes with additional amenities like electric sunshades and rear-seat entertainment screens, which are practical but not essential. Maintenance costs are also higher for the H9+, as its specialized parts require visits to authorized dealers and are more expensive. Overall, the H9 offers better value for money and is sufficient for daily commuting, while the H9+ is more like an investment, with its extended body and premium interior justifying the price, though the daily driving experience isn't significantly different. My advice is to choose based on your budget: the H9 is a great choice if you're looking to save money, but if money isn't an issue, go for the H9+ for a hassle-free experience.
