I just upgraded to a 2022 XT5 last year, previously driving a 2021 model. The biggest improvement is the significantly upgraded infotainment system – the screen responds much faster now, plus it supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, making navigation and music switching super convenient while driving. The suspension tuning is more comfortable, with less bumpiness over speed bumps. Interior materials have also been upgraded, with softer leather seats offering better tactile feel. Safety-wise, the 2022 model adds standard blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, providing greater peace of mind. Fuel consumption remains similar at around 11L in city driving, but the overall driving experience feels smoother. Compared to the 2021 version, the changes aren't revolutionary but focus on refined details, making it better suited for daily drivers who value tech features. If budget allows, I'd recommend the new model; otherwise, a used 2021 offers better value for money while being perfectly adequate.
