I've been researching cars for many years, and the differences between the 2019 and 2021 Bora models mainly lie in detailed upgrades. In terms of exterior design, the 2021 model features a more modern honeycomb grille instead of the horizontal slats seen on the 2019 version, giving it a much younger appearance. The rear lights have also been upgraded to LED, offering a more attractive illumination effect. For the interior, while the 2019 model uses a physical button-controlled center screen, the 2021 version upgrades to an 8-inch touchscreen with faster response times, wireless CarPlay support, and voice control, making it much more user-friendly. Technologically, the 2021 model adds smart driving assistance features like active braking and lane departure warning, significantly enhancing safety—especially helpful for highway driving. The powertrain remains largely unchanged, with both models offering a 1.4T or 1.5L engine, but the 2021 version optimizes transmission logic for smoother starts and slightly better fuel efficiency. Overall, while the upgrades aren't massive, they noticeably improve daily driving, making the newer model a worthwhile purchase.

As a Bora owner, I've driven both the 2019 and 2021 models, and the differences are quite noticeable. The exterior hasn't changed much, but the light clusters are sharper now. The 2019 model's halogen headlights have been replaced with full LED units in the 2021 version, providing excellent nighttime illumination. The interior materials have been upgraded – while the 2019 model felt plasticky, the 2021 version uses more soft-touch materials that are comfortable for long drives. The infotainment system is the biggest improvement; the 2021 model runs much smoother with phone mirroring and OTA updates, eliminating the lag issues I experienced with the 2019 version. Cabin space remains equally generous (easily accommodates three in the back), but the 2021 model adds adjustable airflow to the rear vents for quicker cooling in summer. Though more expensive, the added safety features like autonomous emergency braking have already helped me avoid minor collisions.

As a young car enthusiast, comparing the 2019 and 2021 Bora models, the 2021 facelift looks cooler. The front grille is sportier, and the full LED lights are dazzling. The biggest upgrade is the infotainment system—gone is the 2019 knob control, replaced by a large touchscreen in the 2021 model, making navigation and music a one-tap affair. The power remains unchanged and fun to drive, but details like sound insulation have improved slightly. Personally, I believe in buying new over old—if the budget allows, go for the 2021 model.

What is the function of a car differential?

We know that when a car turns, the inner wheel travels a shorter distance than the outer wheel, resulting in a speed difference. Without a differential, the wheel with poorer traction would inevitably experience slip or skid. On surfaces with good traction, to smoothly transfer the engine torque to two wheels rotating at different speeds, a differential is required between the wheels to perform its function. A standard differential consists of components such as planetary gears, a planetary carrier, and side gears. The engine's power is transmitted through the driveshaft into the differential, directly driving the planetary carrier, which then transfers power to the left and right axle shafts via the planetary gears, thereby driving the left and right wheels. Thus, the differential has two main functions: 1. Continuously transmitting the engine torque to the wheels, which may have varying speed differences at any moment. 2. Serving as the main reduction gear, using a large gear ratio to reduce the rotational speed of the power output shaft, thereby amplifying the torque at the wheels. In addition to the most common wheel differential, full-time four-wheel-drive vehicles also feature a center differential, which operates on the same principle as the wheel differential. In this case, the differential deals not with the left and right wheels but with the front and rear axles. Now, do you understand the function of a differential?

What does the snowflake symbol on a car indicate?

The snowflake symbol appearing on a car: 1. The outdoor temperature is too low. The snowflake light on the dashboard will be yellow when the temperature is between 0 to 4 degrees Celsius, and red when below 0 degrees. This is an indicator light and does not affect the normal use of the vehicle; 2. The car's outdoor temperature sensor is damaged. The sensor collects incorrect outdoor temperature information, which is transmitted to the dashboard and displayed. Whether the collected temperature is lower or higher than the actual temperature, the snowflake light at this time is a fault light; 3. There is an issue with the car's wiring or control system. Although the outdoor temperature sensor collects the correct outdoor temperature information, problems during transmission and feedback cause the temperature displayed on the dashboard to not match the actual temperature. At this time, the dashboard will also light up the snowflake symbol, which is a fault light.

How Long is the Warranty for Volkswagen Transmissions?

Volkswagen's 09G transmission comes with a 3-year warranty, while the DSG transmissions installed in older models of the Magotan and some newer Magotan models have an extended warranty of up to 10 years. The exact warranty period should be based on official data. A transmission is a mechanism used to alter the speed and torque from the engine, capable of fixing or changing the gear ratio between the output and input shafts. The transmission consists of a gear transmission mechanism and a control mechanism, with some vehicles also featuring a power output mechanism. Taking the Volkswagen Tayron as an example: it is a model under the Volkswagen brand, featuring a horizontal bar-style front grille and LED headlight assemblies on both sides. In terms of configuration, this vehicle is equipped with a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
