There is almost no difference in appearance between the 2019 Bora and the 2020 Bora. The differences mainly lie in the configuration and price. The mid-to-high trim levels of the 2020 Bora have added focusing lenses to the headlights, which are absent in all trims of the 2019 model. The specific differences are as follows: 1. The 2020 model adds a USB port to the interior rearview mirror for easy installation of a dash cam. Two additional USB ports have been added to the rear center console, which are not present in the 2019 model. 2. The 2020 Volkswagen Bora Comfort and Elite trims are equipped with the MIB-G-Standard-Plus infotainment system and a rearview camera, while the Premium trim features an 8-inch color touchscreen. Additionally, it includes Baidu CarLife/Apple CarPlay connectivity, MirrorLink smartphone integration, touch-controlled air conditioning, and other functions.

As a car enthusiast, I've driven the 2019 and 2020 Bora models several times, and I feel the main differences lie in aesthetics and technological upgrades. The 2019 model has a relatively traditional design, with a small front grille paired with halogen headlights, giving it a somewhat conservative look. The 2020 model, however, is much more stylish, adopting Volkswagen's new family design with a larger air intake grille and full LED headlights, making it look more eye-catching on the road. Inside, the 2019 model features an 8-inch screen, while the 2020 model upgrades to a 10-inch touchscreen, offering smoother operation. Space has also been optimized, with the 2020 model providing more room in the back seats and less crowding for luggage. In daily driving, the 2020 model's engine tuning is smoother, slightly more fuel-efficient, and better at controlling noise at high speeds. These small improvements make the 2020 model a more worthwhile investment, especially for young people who appreciate modern aesthetics.

I usually commute with my Bora, and the practical differences between the 2019 and 2020 models are quite noticeable. The 2019 model has simpler features, with most trims lacking a rearview camera and smart key. The 2020 model is much more generous, coming standard with automatic parking and remote start—just press the key, and the car warms up in advance. Sitting inside, the 2020 model's seats offer better support and comfort, making long drives easier on the back, while the 2019 model feels slightly firmer. In terms of fuel consumption, the 2020 model's 1.4T engine has been optimized, saving about half a liter more in city driving. The space is similar, but the 2020 model's trunk door is lighter, making it easier to open and close with one hand. Maintenance costs are comparable, though the 2020 model has more new parts, making it a great choice for owners who prioritize convenience.

What to Do When Car Air Conditioning Buttons Don't Respond?

If the pressure is too low, it indicates a lack of refrigerant, which needs to be replenished. Insufficient refrigerant will affect the cooling performance of the air conditioning system. Check whether the blower of the air conditioning system is operating normally. If the blower malfunctions, it may result in no cold air coming out of the vents.
