What are the differences between SUVs and regular sedans?

SUVs and regular sedans differ in the following aspects: 1. Functionality: Sedans are suitable for family and business use; SUVs are suitable for off-roading and long-distance travel. 2. Power: Sedans have a lower center of gravity, offering more agile handling; SUVs have larger and heavier bodies, with less rear power compared to sedans. SUV models include: Audi Q5, BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, Tiguan, etc. Family sedan models include: Lamando, Camry, Passat, Accord, Elantra, etc. An SUV refers to a Sports Utility Vehicle, which combines the space functionality of a station wagon with the off-road capability of a pickup truck. A sedan refers to a car designed to transport passengers and their personal belongings, with seating arranged between two axles, and a maximum seating capacity of nine, including the driver.
I've been driving a regular sedan for several years, and now that I've switched to an SUV, the difference is really noticeable. The SUV has a higher body, providing a more open view when sitting inside, making it easier to see the road ahead without obstructions, which feels more reassuring when parking or in traffic jams. On the other hand, sedans are lower and more agile, making them super convenient for navigating tight city corners. Space is the main difference—the SUV's trunk can hold more items, like kids' toys or camping gear, with ease, and the back seats are more spacious. Sedans, however, are more compact, fine for daily commutes but less practical for hauling cargo. In terms of fuel consumption, SUVs generally consume a bit more; I calculated an extra few dozen dollars per month on gas. But if you frequently take long trips or go on outings, the extra cost is worth it, especially with the four-wheel-drive versions being better suited for rainy or snowy conditions. Overall, SUVs are great for families or outdoor enthusiasts, while sedans are better for city life and fuel efficiency—it all depends on your needs.
