What are the differences between Skoda Rapid and Octavia?

There are differences in headlights, rearview mirrors, and tire sizes between the two models. Differences in headlights: Both models use halogen light sources for their headlights, but the Octavia features an additional lens for the low beam. As for fog lights, both models are equipped with them, and these fog lights also serve as cornering assist lights. Differences in rearview mirrors: Neither model uses dual-curvature mirrors. The Rapid comes with electric heating functionality, while the Octavia's rearview mirrors integrate turn signals. The Rapid positions the side turn signals on the fenders. Differences in tire sizes: The Rapid is equipped with 185/60R15 tires, whereas the Octavia uses 195/65R15 tires. The Octavia's tire size is larger compared to the Rapid's.
I've driven both the Rapid and Octavia myself, and the differences are quite noticeable. The Rapid is a compact car, perfect for young professionals like me just starting out or young couples. Its small and agile body makes parking in the city a breeze, and its low fuel consumption and simple maintenance save money. However, the space is just average, and the back seat can feel a bit cramped with three people. The Octavia is positioned higher, offering much more spacious interiors, especially the trunk which can fit four or five large suitcases, making long trips much more comfortable. It also offers more options in terms of power; for instance, I drive the 1.4T version, which has quick acceleration response and feels more stable on the highway. Price-wise, the Rapid starts at over 100,000 yuan, while the Octavia usually costs a few tens of thousands more. But if you frequently carry passengers or go on long trips, the Octavia's solid feel and features are worth the extra cost. In short, the Rapid is the practical choice for beginners, while the Octavia is better suited for families seeking quality in their daily lives.
