I've driven both the Geely Xingyue and the Lynk & Co 05, and the biggest differences lie in daily practicality and space. As Geely's flagship SUV, the Xingyue offers a larger trunk space and doesn't feel cramped even when fully loaded. Its fuel consumption is controlled at around 6-8L, with low maintenance costs, making it ideal for family trips or long-distance travel. In contrast, the Lynk & Co 05 features a more coupe-like body design, resulting in slightly narrower headroom in the rear seats and a smaller trunk. However, its interior exudes a stronger sense of luxury, with more leather and soft materials used. For daily commuting, the Xingyue is comfortable and hassle-free, while the Lynk & Co 05 emphasizes a more personalized experience. If you're on a budget, the Xingyue offers better value for money.

As someone who enjoys driving, I compared the driving experience of these two models. The Xingyue's power tuning is smooth, with the 2.0T version offering stable starts but no major surprises, making it suitable for stop-and-go city driving. The Lynk & Co 05's engine is tuned more aggressively, delivering a noticeable push-back sensation during acceleration and better stability during high-speed cornering, leaning towards a sporty style. In terms of the chassis, the 05's suspension is tuned to be firmer, resulting in a bumpier ride over potholes but better handling, while the Xingyue is much softer. For long-distance driving, the Xingyue is more suitable for commuters, whereas the 05 appeals to younger drivers seeking driving pleasure. The Lynk & Co is more expensive, but after driving it for a few months, I feel the extra investment is worth it.

From a design perspective, I particularly admire the avant-garde styling of the Lynk & Co 05. Its split headlights and coupe-like sloping roofline are eye-catching, often drawing attention when parked, creating a sporty coupe style that appeals to fashion enthusiasts. The Geely Xingyue follows a more traditional SUV route, with a conventional and clean appearance, though somewhat lacking in distinctiveness. In terms of details, the 05's headlights and wheels are more striking, while the Xingyue focuses on practicality, such as a wider headlight beam range. Overall, if you prioritize aesthetics and individuality, the 05 is the top choice, whereas the Xingyue is more down-to-earth.
