The differences between BYD Qin and Qin Pro are: 1. Different transmissions: BYD Qin is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, while Qin Pro has a 6-speed manual transmission. 2. Different dimensions: The length, width, and height of BYD Qin are 4675mm, 1770mm, and 1480mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2670mm; Qin Pro measures 4765mm in length, 1837mm in width, and 1500mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2718mm. 3. Different maximum horsepower: BYD Qin has a maximum horsepower of 109 hp, while Qin Pro reaches 160 hp. 4. Different maximum power: BYD Qin's maximum power is 80 kW, whereas Qin Pro's is 118 kW.
From driving the BYD Qin to upgrading to the Qin Pro, my personal experience highlights noticeable differences mainly in appearance, performance, and daily practicality. In terms of appearance, the Qin looks conservative, with an ordinary front grille and simple headlight design; the Qin Pro is much more stylish, with its streamlined body and eagle-eye headlights making a strong first impression. When it comes to driving, the Qin's hybrid system has some hesitation during acceleration, and the engine noise is loud, especially in city traffic where it consumes more fuel. The Qin Pro, on the other hand, features the newer DM-i technology, which reduces fuel consumption, extends the pure electric range, and offers smoother and quieter starts. The space is similar, but the Qin Pro's interior uses soft-touch materials, and the seats provide better support, making long-distance rides more comfortable. The large touchscreen is responsive, supports voice control, and makes navigation upgrades more convenient. Although the Qin Pro is about ten thousand yuan more expensive, the long-term savings on fuel and peace of mind make the upgrade worthwhile in my opinion.
