Motorcycles are divided into types such as standard bikes, underbone bikes, scooters, mopeds, three-wheelers, four-wheel multi-purpose vehicles, special-purpose motorcycles, and electric motorcycles. According to the working method of the engine, they can be classified into two-stroke and four-stroke engines: Two-stroke engine: An engine where the crankshaft completes one revolution, meaning the piston moves up and down twice, completing one working cycle. Four-stroke engine: An engine where the crankshaft completes two revolutions, meaning the piston moves up and down four times, completing one working cycle. Based on the arrangement of the engine cylinders and the number of cylinders, they can be categorized into single-cylinder, inline twin-cylinder, inline four-cylinder, V-twin, V-four or V-six, and horizontally opposed twin-cylinder or four-cylinder engines. Most engines with twin cylinders or fewer are air-cooled, while water-cooled engines are now more common. By carburetor type, they can be divided into carburetor engines and electronic fuel injection engines.
