Cadillac's classic quote - All greatness begins with a brave start. It can be said that the history of Cadillac represents the history of American luxury cars. In Webster's Dictionary, Cadillac is defined as a synonym for "the finest and most prestigious things of its kind"; it has been awarded the honor of "World Standard" by the London Royal Automobile Club, which is known for pursuing ultimate nobility. For over a hundred years, Cadillac has created countless firsts in the automotive industry and established numerous industry standards for luxury cars; it can be said that the history of Cadillac represents the history of American luxury cars. Cadillac combines the essence of a century of history and the wisdom of generations of designers, becoming a leading brand in the automotive industry. Cadillac's Chinese brand slogan was once "Dare to be the first in the world". In early 2008, Cadillac changed its brand slogan from "Dare to be the first in the world" to "Belief? Creation? Ownership", emphasizing the achievement of desired goals through inner strength.

Speaking of Cadillac's classic slogans, the one that left the deepest impression on me is "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?" This soul-searching question directly welds Cadillac's driving DNA into users' hearts. Then there's the legendary "The penalty of leadership" hailed by car enthusiasts, which appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, exuding the aura of a luxury car leader in every word. The current official slogan "BE ICONIC" continues this innovative brand spirit. You should know these taglines aren't just marketing rhetoric - they were forged alongside legendary models like the CTS and Escalade through tough battles.

As an advertising professional, I believe Cadillac's 'Dare Greatly' campaign launched in 2015 perfectly addressed the pain points of luxury vehicles. Aligned with their 'New American Luxury' strategy at the time, it infused every commercial with an attitude of bold thinking and action. Later, the CTS-V ad's tagline 'Power is nothing without control' elevated the brutal aesthetics of its 6.2L supercharged engine to philosophical heights. The frequently seen 'BE ICONONIC' slogan is actually a modern interpretation of the brand's DNA - after all, since building the world's first V8 engine in 1915, this marque has been writing icon history in the automotive world.

Last week during the maintenance at the 4S dealership, I overheard the sales manager mentioning that young car owners nowadays resonate most with Cadillac's straightforward slogan - 'Life, Liberty and the Pursuit.' Paired with the newly launched all-electric LYRIQ, it exudes a strong sense of technology. In fact, old-school car enthusiasts still fondly remember the 90s slogan 'Standard of the World.' Just seven simple words that uphold the prestige of a presidential vehicle. Personally, my favorite is the one on the old Deville poster: 'Create your own road.' After all, who drives a Cadillac without being a bold individual who refuses to follow the crowd? These slogans still hit home even today.
