What are the chemical components of fuel additives?

Fuel additives contain chemical components including organic nano-molecules and over ten types of substances, such as detergents, activation factors, antioxidants, corrosion inhibitors, and demulsifiers. The main component of fuel additives is a polymer-based ashless surfactant. This polymer surfactant, dissolved in automotive fuel, utilizes its strong adsorption, wetting, solubilization, and dispersion capabilities to decompose and remove carbon deposits accumulated on metal surfaces, dispersing and encapsulating them into fine carbon particle micelles. These oil-soluble carbon micelles enter the combustion chamber along with the fresh air-fuel mixture and are burned, while some non-combustible carbon deposits are emitted into the atmosphere with the exhaust gases.
