Diesel engine oil water ingress can be caused by: 1. Cylinder liner damage: When cracks appear in the cylinder liner, coolant can seep directly into the engine oil pan through the cylinder wall; 2. Engine water plug leakage; 3. Radiator damage; 4. Cylinder gasket damage: Due to prolonged high-pressure conditions in the cylinder, the cylinder liner may become damaged, causing the oil and coolant passages to interconnect, resulting in water mixing with the engine oil. The solution for water ingress in diesel engine oil is to immediately shut down the engine unit, then elevate one side of the diesel generator to position the oil drain at the lowest point of the oil pan. Unscrew the drain plug to allow the contaminated water and oil to discharge together. After draining, remove the fuel tank to completely empty all oil and water. After thorough cleaning, start the engine for testing. If everything is normal, proceed with the final installation and configuration.
