What are the button functions on the dashboard of the 2017 Buick GL8?

There are 6 main button functions: 1. ESP: Effectively prevents body skidding, fishtailing and other loss-of-control situations. The Electronic Stability Program is generally not recommended to be manually turned off by the driver; 2. Parking Radar Image: Activates the panoramic view and radar function, providing audible alerts and visual feedback to help the driver detect surrounding obstacles; 3. Auto Hold: Eliminates the need to keep your foot on the brake pedal - the system automatically locks the wheels. Pressing the accelerator pedal releases the wheels, allowing the vehicle to move forward; 4. Auto Start-Stop: Temporarily shuts off the engine during brief stops. The vehicle restarts when the driver's foot leaves the brake pedal; 5. Recirculation/Fresh Air: Switch to fresh air mode periodically. Recirculation means the air inside the vehicle circulates internally, while fresh air mode exchanges air between inside and outside the vehicle. Use recirculation mode in heavy traffic, tunnels, or when outside air quality is poor; 6. Temperature Zone Sync: When activated, changing the driver's temperature setting adjusts all other zones accordingly. When deactivated, each temperature zone can be adjusted individually for more personalized comfort.
My Buick GL8 is the 2017 model, and the button layout on the center console is quite intuitive. On the left is the air conditioning control area, with a large knob in the middle for adjusting temperature—turn right to increase and left to decrease. The fan speed buttons are right next to it; press the plus sign to increase airflow and the minus sign to decrease it. Below are the recirculation and fresh air buttons—I use the fresh air mode for better ventilation on long trips. On the entertainment system side, pressing the radio button switches stations, and the CD/USB playback button is next to the charging port—just plug in your phone to play music. The navigation is operated via the touchscreen, with fewer buttons, but there’s a shortcut key to open the map instantly. The seat heating button is at the bottom right, which is very handy in winter. The rear seats have independent control buttons for adjusting the vent positions. When driving, I mostly use the air conditioning and volume buttons. Keeping them clean is important—avoid using a wet cloth to prevent malfunctions.
