What are the benefits of using full synthetic engine oil?

The benefits of using full synthetic engine oil: 1. Full synthetic oil has a wider temperature range compared to semi-synthetic and mineral oils; 2. Full synthetic oil has less thermal degradation, saves fuel, and provides better engine protection; 3. It has excellent chemical stability, good radiation resistance, high oil film strength, less foaming, good lubrication, and reduced wear; 4. Synthetic oil is less prone to deterioration, has lower evaporation loss, and a longer service life than conventional oils. Synthetic engine oil is derived from ethylene and propylene dispersed from natural gas or crude oil, refined through complex chemical reactions like polymerization and catalysis into high-molecular lubricants. Engine oil containing only PAO or ester compounds is called full synthetic oil, which belongs to the category of chemically synthesized oils.
The benefits of full synthetic oil are truly numerous. For me, as a daily commuter, the most outstanding advantages are its time and cost savings. Previously, using semi-synthetic oil, I had to rush for an oil change every 5,000 kilometers. Now, with full synthetic oil, the maintenance interval can be extended to 10,000 kilometers, cutting the number of maintenance visits in half and saving on fuel and labor costs. The engine performs more steadily under both high and low temperatures. In summer, the oil doesn’t thin out when the air conditioning is on, protecting internal components from wear and reducing noise significantly. There’s also a slight drop in fuel consumption—enough savings on gas each month to buy coffee. Although it’s more expensive initially, the long-term cost is actually lower, making it quite worthwhile. Maintenance is simpler too, keeping the engine clean and reducing those annoying sludge buildup issues.
