What are the advantages of a V-type engine?

V-type engine refers to dividing all cylinders into two groups, arranging adjacent cylinders at a certain angle so that the two groups of cylinders form two planes with an angle between them. Viewed from the side, the cylinders appear in a V-shape, hence the name V-type engine. Its advantages are as follows: 1. Stable operation (for V6, V8, V12) and space-saving. 2. Small height and length dimensions, making it easier to arrange in a car. The lower height can reduce the height of the engine hood and lower wind resistance. The shorter length can leave more space for the passenger compartment. The cylinders are staggered in arrangement, which facilitates increasing displacement and power by expanding the cylinder diameter and is suitable for a higher number of cylinders.
