What are Position Lamps?

Position lamps refer to the front and rear position lights on a vehicle. Their locations vary depending on the vehicle type. On small cars, they are commonly known as parking lights, while on large vehicles, they are called position lamps on both front and rear sides. On trucks, they are often referred to as side marker lamps. The purpose of position lamps is to indicate the presence and approximate width of the vehicle, aiding other drivers in judging during passing or overtaking maneuvers. Vehicle lighting includes: 1. Low beam headlights: for illuminating the road surface ahead; 2. High beam headlights: suitable for use on rural roads or highways without street lighting; 3. Turn signals: to indicate turning intentions to other vehicles and pedestrians; 4. Fog lights: lighting signals used in heavy rain or fog conditions.
