Light and heavy commercial vehicles powered by natural gas, gasoline, or diesel, as well as compliant light and heavy commercial vehicles using gasoline or diesel. 2. New energy vehicles and vessels are exempt from vehicle and vessel tax: a. Pure electric commercial vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, fuel cell commercial vehicles, and other compliant new energy vehicle models are exempt from vehicle and vessel tax. b. Vessels with main propulsion systems powered by pure natural gas engines that meet standards are exempt from vehicle and vessel tax.
