Understanding and Operating Vehicle Lights for Driving Learners

Lights must be turned on to low beam. Upon hearing the words 'pass' or 'overtake', the corresponding action is to switch between high and low beams. Driving in foggy conditions: headlights + fog lights + hazard warning lights. Vehicle breakdown with difficulty moving: parking lights + hazard warning lights.
When I first started learning to drive, I was completely confused about the light controls. Luckily, my instructor taught me carefully. There are many types of car lights: low beams are for everyday use at night, usually controlled by a knob near the steering wheel—just turn it to the small sun icon; high beams are suitable for highways or empty roads, activated by pushing the lever once; turn signals are essential when changing direction, activated by flicking the lever to the left; and fog lights should be turned on in rainy weather—remember there’s a separate button for them. In terms of operation, after starting the car, always check if all the lights are working. Like my first time on the road when I forgot to turn on the turn signal, I nearly had an accident. Remember, switching lights according to different road conditions is crucial—safety first. When practicing, read the manual carefully or find an empty space to practice a few times until it becomes second nature.
