Symptoms of a Faulty Common Rail Pressure Relief Valve?

Symptoms of a faulty fuel pump pressure relief valve include: the valve disc not reseating after discharge, primarily caused by a bent spring valve stem, improper installation of the valve disc, or it being stuck. Failure to open at the specified pressure: The reasons for this include inaccurate pressure setting; the valve disc sticking to the valve seat; the lever of a lever-type safety valve getting stuck or the counterweight being moved. Continued rise in pressure after discharge: This is mainly due to the selected safety valve having insufficient discharge capacity; misaligned valve stem centerline or a rusty spring preventing the valve disc from opening to the required height. Valve disc chattering or vibration: Primarily caused by excessive spring stiffness; improper adjustment of the adjusting ring; excessive discharge pipe resistance, leading to high discharge backpressure. Opening below the specified pressure: Mainly due to inaccurate pressure setting or aging spring reducing its elasticity.
