Solutions for Loose Door Glass

Solutions for loose door glass are as follows: Loose door screws or lifting bracket: When driving on bumpy roads, the car window glass may become loose. This is likely caused by loose internal fastening screws or the lifting mechanism bracket. To fix this issue, simply visit a 4S shop and have the staff tighten the loose door glass. Aging window glass sealing strip: Purchase a lubricant online and apply it evenly on the sealing strip. If the strip is severely aged, it is best to replace it directly.
Last time I encountered a loose left front window glass issue, which made annoying creaking noises while driving. I tried tightening the screws at the bottom of the door panel with a Phillips screwdriver and found two were almost falling out. But be careful not to overtighten, as it may cause the glass angle to tilt. The most troublesome part was the aged and broken door panel clips, which required purchasing new ones for replacement – a full set can be bought online for about ten yuan. Remember to raise the window to the top before removing the door panel, otherwise the screwdriver might scratch the inner side of the glass. If the glass wobbles left and right during operation, it's likely due to a deformed window regulator bracket, which requires a visit to the repair shop for a complete bracket assembly replacement. Aged weatherstripping can also cause glass looseness; if the rubber feels hard or cracked when pressed with fingers, it needs replacement.
