Should You Press the Clutch When Decelerating in a Manual Transmission Car?

When decelerating in a manual transmission car, you do not need to press the clutch. However, during braking while driving, each gear must maintain a speed above the minimum threshold; otherwise, you should press the clutch to prevent stalling. Generally, the car will not stall when: in third gear above 20 km/h, in fourth gear above 25 km/h, or in fifth gear above 35 km/h. The clutch is located inside the flywheel housing between the engine and the transmission. The clutch assembly is secured to the rear plane of the flywheel with screws, and the output shaft of the clutch is the input shaft of the transmission. The clutch is only used in three situations: starting, shifting gears, and braking at low speeds.
