According to the official vehicle user manual recommendation, the Terra should use 92 octane gasoline. In addition to checking the appropriate gasoline grade in the vehicle user manual, you can also check the fuel filler cap, which will also indicate the recommended grade. Typically, the gasoline grade can also be determined based on the engine's compression ratio. Vehicles with an engine compression ratio between 8.6-9.9 should use 92 octane gasoline, while those with a compression ratio between 10.0-11.5 should use 95 octane gasoline. However, with the application of some new technologies, the gasoline grade cannot be solely determined by the compression ratio. High compression ratio engines can also be tuned to use lower octane gasoline because, besides the compression ratio, other factors such as ignition timing, turbocharging technology, and Atkinson cycle technology also play a role. Generally, the higher the gasoline grade, the higher the octane number and the better the anti-knock performance. 92 octane gasoline contains 92% isooctane and 8% n-heptane, while 95 octane gasoline contains 95% isooctane and 5% n-heptane. If the Terra occasionally uses the wrong gasoline grade, simply switch back to the correct grade after using it up. However, long-term use of the wrong gasoline grade can have the following effects: For vehicles recommended to use lower octane gasoline, using higher octane gasoline will not cause damage, but the increase in octane number will change the fuel's ignition point, leading to delayed combustion in the engine. This means both the engine's power output and thermal efficiency will decrease, resulting in poorer performance as experienced in real-world driving. For vehicles recommended to use higher octane gasoline, using lower octane gasoline can cause engine knocking. Because the octane number is too low, the gasoline's ignition point decreases and it may ignite prematurely during the compression stroke. If detonation occurs before the spark plug ignites, resistance will appear during the upward stroke. This resistance will cause the engine to run very unstably. If it's only mild knocking, it will just increase noise without significant damage to the engine. However, if obvious knocking is felt, it indicates the engine's condition is already very severe. The vibration not only affects driving stability but can also cause abnormal wear on the pistons and cylinders, and in severe cases, even cylinder scoring.

Why does the engine idle roughly during cold starts?

The reasons for rough idling during cold starts are: 1. Faulty coolant temperature sensor: If the engine temperature is -10°C during a cold start, but the sensor reports 10°C to the ECU, the ECU will inject fuel based on the 10°C condition, resulting in insufficient fuel supply and natural shaking. 2. Engine carbon buildup: Carbon deposits can lead to reduced fuel injection, failing to ensure adequate power output, inevitably causing shaking. 3. Aging vehicle: If the car has been used for many years, components nearing the end of their service life may produce shaking. 4. Insufficient ignition energy: During cold conditions, the temperatures inside the engine, fuel, and lubricants are all low, requiring more fuel injection during cold starts to meet power demands. Larger spark plug gaps result in weaker ignition energy. Poor fuel atomization at low temperatures demands higher ignition energy. Prolonged use can enlarge spark plug gaps, reducing ignition energy and affecting power output, leading to shaking. Additionally, aging ignition coils, deteriorated spark plug high-voltage wires, or electrical leaks can also decrease ignition energy.

How to Unlock the Speed of Luyuan Electric Scooter?

Luyuan electric scooters are designed to comply with national standards, with the speed limited to 20KM/H. To unlock the speed, follow these steps: turn the throttle to the maximum while holding the brake lever and keep them in that position. After turning on the scooter, count to 8 seconds, then release both the throttle and brake lever. Turn off the scooter, and then turn it on again to remove the speed limit.

What Does Chassis Armor Mean?

Chassis armor, scientifically known as automotive chassis anti-collision, anti-rust, and soundproofing, is a high-tech adhesive rubber asphalt coating. It is non-toxic, has high coverage and adhesion, and can be sprayed on exposed parts of the vehicle such as the chassis, wheel hubs, fuel tank, lower body panels, and trunk. After quick drying, it forms a strong elastic protective layer. Chassis armor prevents impacts from flying stones and gravel, avoids erosion of the vehicle's chassis metal by moisture, acid rain, and salt, prevents rust and corrosion of the chassis, and ensures the driving safety of the car owner. It also protects the chassis iron plates from corrosion by acids, alkalis, and salts, prevents loosening of chassis screws, reduces noise transmission during driving, enhances driving quietness, and blocks heat conduction from the chassis iron plates, keeping the cabin warm in winter and cool in summer.
