Teana 2.0T requires unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 95 or higher. Differences in composition: 92-octane gasoline consists of 92% isooctane and 8% n-heptane, while 95-octane gasoline consists of 95% isooctane and 5% n-heptane. The main difference lies in the purity of isooctane - the higher the purity of isooctane, the stronger the gasoline's anti-knock performance, and consequently the higher the price. Differences in stability: 92-octane fuel is more prone to knocking. To prevent knocking, the ignition timing of the spark plug needs to be delayed, which results in relatively weaker power output. In comparison, 95-octane fuel is less likely to cause knocking, allowing the engine control unit to maintain relatively earlier ignition timing, resulting in slightly better power performance.
