Should the steering wheel be straightened after parking?

It is necessary to straighten the steering wheel after parking, as failing to do so can lead to various issues. If the steering wheel is not straightened after parking, it is equivalent to the power steering pump pushing out oil to assist with steering without the oil returning, creating negative pressure inside the pump. This accelerates the aging of the power steering pump and also places excessive pressure on the oil pipes. The hazards of not straightening the steering wheel after parking to the steering system include: when the steering wheel is not straightened, the wheels will pull on the steering linkage, preventing it from returning to its original position. At the same time, the steering wheel's gears and the steering linkage's rack remain under stress, which over time can lead to accelerated aging or deformation, causing the vehicle to drift and resulting in uneven tire wear.
