Should the Outlander ECO mode be kept on all the time?

The Outlander ECO mode can be kept on all the time, which will reduce fuel consumption, but it may diminish the driving pleasure. How the ECO mode works: The ECO mode primarily makes a comprehensive judgment and analysis of factors that affect fuel consumption during vehicle movement, such as automatic transmission gear position, engine speed, vehicle speed, braking, and transmission oil temperature. The ECU control unit calculates the optimal fuel quantity to supply the engine for operation, effectively reducing fuel consumption compared to normal driving mode. Limitations of the ECO mode: When the vehicle speed exceeds 120 km/h, priority is given to speed, and the ECO mode automatically deactivates. The ECO mode mainly functions through computer-controlled operations during vehicle movement, so it does not work during idle stops, in N or P gear, or in manual mode. Additionally, when overcoming certain resistance or requiring high torque output, such as when climbing a slope, the ECU prioritizes ensuring sufficient power to drive the vehicle, and the ECO mode will not operate.
