Should the front radar be installed with 2 or 4 sensors?

Two front sensors are sufficient, and high-end original vehicles typically come with two. Below is additional information about radar: 1. Automotive Radar: Consists of ultrasonic sensors (commonly known as probes), a controller, and a display (or buzzer). It informs the driver about surrounding obstacles through sound or more intuitive displays, alleviating the difficulties caused by checking front, rear, left, and right when parking, reversing, or starting the vehicle. It also helps eliminate blind spots and unclear vision, enhancing driving safety. 2. Function of Front Radar: The front radar sensors are installed on the front bumper, radiating at approximately a 45-degree angle to search for targets in all directions. The biggest advantage is the ability to detect obstacles below the bumper that are difficult for the driver to see from inside the car, such as flower beds or playing children, and provide an alert.
I previously installed front parking sensors, so let me share my experience. Installing just two sensors only covers the middle area directly in front, leaving many blind spots on the sides completely undetected. Things like diagonally parked electric scooters in residential areas or suddenly darting-out children - two sensors simply can't react quickly enough. Later I gritted my teeth and installed four sensors instead. Now both left and right sides of the bumper are covered, especially giving peace of mind during turns. Sure, removing the front bumper for wiring was more troublesome, but it's still more cost-effective compared to repair fees from later scrapes. If you frequently drive in wet markets or older residential areas, four sensors can truly prevent many accidents.
