Should the AC be turned on for hot air?

Hot air does not require turning on the AC. The correct usage of the AC is as follows: 1. First, the A/C button controls the switch of the air conditioning compressor. In summer, when the owner turns on the cold air and presses the A/C button, the air conditioner will cool, and the air sent into the car will be cold, achieving a cold cycle inside the car. 2. The owner can turn off the A/C switch when starting or accelerating sharply. Because the air conditioning compressor needs the engine to drive it, it will consume part of the engine's power. Turning off the A/C switch can avoid insufficient engine power. 3. The hot air is brought into the car by the heat from the car's engine, and the internal heat cycle of the vehicle is achieved through the air conditioning's air supply, thereby increasing the internal temperature. Turning on the A/C switch when the hot air is on will cause the compressor to work as well, which not only fails to achieve a good heating effect inside the car but also increases fuel consumption.
