Should Car Tires with Cracks Be Replaced?
1 Answers
It is recommended to replace car tires with cracks as soon as possible. Tires should be replaced under the following circumstances: 1. When the tire wear reaches the wear limit indicator (i.e., the tread depth is below 1.6 mm), it must be stopped from use. 2. Tire aging. If there are numerous small cracks at the bottom of the tread grooves or on the sidewalls, the tire should be replaced promptly, regardless of whether it is new or old. 3. Tires with deformed treads or damaged beads, tires that have been damaged by running under-inflated leading to sidewall compression, or tires corroded by chemicals should not continue to be used. 4. Bulging tires must not continue to be used. 5. Any other damage that affects the safety of the tire also prohibits its continued use. 6. When the tire reaches its service life, typically around 5 years, it begins to age and should be replaced promptly.
