Should BYD Qin use 92 or 95 octane gasoline?

According to the manufacturer's requirements, the entire BYD Qin series uses 92 octane or higher gasoline, and only vehicle gasoline that complies with national mandatory standards and the recommended octane rating is permitted. Using lower octane fuel can cause severe damage to the engine and catalytic converter, reduce engine power and torque, and increase fuel consumption. The BYD Qin is a high-performance sedan independently developed by BYD Co., Ltd. as part of its second-generation DM series. In terms of exterior design, the BYD Qin continues the concept car's design, removing the original brand logo from the front grille and the blue elements around the headlight assembly while adding chrome accents to both sides of the front bumper. Additionally, LED daytime running lights have been incorporated into the headlights. For powertrain, the BYD Qin continues to feature a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5TI engine and an electric motor, paired with a 6-speed DCT transmission. The gear lever has also been redesigned with a new shape.
