Newly purchased electric vehicles should be charged after the battery is depleted. Performing a complete discharge and full charge can make the battery more active and fully utilize its performance. However, this does not mean the battery is completely empty; charging should begin immediately when the remaining power drops below 20%. Precautions for the first charge of a new electric car: For dry-charged batteries within the specified storage period, in case of emergency, they can be used after adding electrolyte of standard specific gravity and letting it stand for 30 minutes. However, they should still be charged according to standard charging procedures afterward. During charging, control the battery temperature to not exceed 37 degrees Celsius. Open the cell covers to ensure proper ventilation. Maintain the effective height of the electrolyte level, which should be 5mm above the plates. Ensure the specific gravity of the electrolyte is normal. After the charger enters the float charging state, maintain it for 1-1.5 hours before stopping the charge.
